Grand OFF is the most important initiative promoting independent cinema in Poland and one of the most important event of this type in the world. The festival draws attention to the phenomenon of independent cinema and gives it the appropriate rank, seriousness and prestige.

Our film „First...", winner of this year's Grand Prix of the festival, raises the important issue of the lack of legal regulations regarding the so-called donation for birth, i.e. deciding that a fetus with a lethal defect may become an organ donor after birth. It also highlights the problem of a complete lack of systemic support for women, who are usually left alone in the face of such difficult dilemmas.

During the final gala of the 16th Grand OFF, the director was accompanied by Gabriela Czyżewska-Detmer, an actress playing the role of Marysia, and our Deputy Rector for Communication and New Media, Ewa Maria Szczepanowska, who presented the award for the best editing during the ceremony.

Congratulations to the crew of our film and to all the nominees and winners!
