Dr hab. Andrzej Ramlau

Rector of the Warsaw Film School. In 1963, he graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. In 1987, he received the Award of the Chairman of the Radio and Television Committee for his achievements as a cinematographer of television feature films. He is the author of cinematography for over sixty films, winner of the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Association of Cinematographers awards for lifetime achievement; in 2013, he was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Professor at the Department of Television, Film and Photography Production, Faculty of Radio and Television, University of Silesia in Katowice. Selected filmography: „Tato” (1995), „Zakochani” (2000), „Rozdroże cafe” (2005).

PhD Maciej Ślesicki

Director, screenwriter and two-time Academy Award® nominee film producer. The founder and Chancellor of the Warsaw Film School. His films include: "Trzy minuty. 21:37" ("Three minutes. 21:37"), "Tato" ("Daddy"), "Sara" and "Show". He also created the TV series "13 Posterunek" ("Station 13"). He graduated from the Department of Radio and Television at the Silesian University. He was awarded with Golden Duck Award for the year 1995 and won a prize for directing at the Polish Films Festival in Gdynia for his film "Tato" ("Daddy"). In 1997 he received distributors acclaim for the box office success of his film "Sara". He also produced the multiply awarded film "Rezerwat" ("Reservation"). He is the initiator of many actions supporting film debuts, and the chief of Paisa Films film studio. He has been the producer for countless student films, including "Nasza Klątwa" ("Our Curse") and "Sukienka" ("The Dress") critically acclaimed shorts nominated for the Academy Awards.

Bogusław Linda

An actor, director, and screenwriter. A graduate of the Kraków National Academy of Theatre Arts (PWST), co-founder and lecturer at the Warsaw Film School. He has appeared in, among others, Agnieszka Holland’s “Fever” and “A Lonely Woman”; Andrzej Wajda’s “Man of Iron”, “Pan Tadeusz”, and “Afterimage”; Krzysztof Kieślowski’s “Blind Chance”; Janusz Zaorski’s “Mother of the Kings”; Jacek Bromski’s “Kill Me, Cop”; Władysław Pasikowski’s “Kroll” and “Pigs”; Jan Jakub Kolski’s “Johnnie Waterman”; and Maciej Ślesicki’s “Daddy” and “Sara”. He has directed feature films including “Seychelles”, “Season for Lures”, and “Bright Blue Windows”. In 2009, he received the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He is also the recipient of the 39th Tarnów Film Award for his lifetime achievements and contribution to the development of Polish cinematography.

Robert Ogłodziński-Kolman

Vice-Rector for New Technologies and Games. Since 2012, he has been active in the gaming industry, progressing from narrative designer to producer, manager and entrepreneur. He holds a degree in Journalism and postgraduate diplomas in Law, Economics and Management from the University of Warsaw. He also has over twenty years of experience in economic journalism. He began his gamedev career at CD Projekt Red, working on titles such as "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and "Cyberpunk 2077". As a freelancer, he co-created numerous independent games, collaborating with studios including Varsaw Games, Walkabout Games, Polyamorous, Fuero Games and Warhound. He has also worked in consulting and investment within the games sector. He previously served as Head of Studio at Klabater, co-founded Longterm Games, Enjoy Studio and Rune Powered. He teaches game production, including at the Warsaw Film School.

Artur Zaborski

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the Warsaw Film School, where he also teaches. Cultural journalist publishing in Polish, American, Canadian, and Swedish media. He studied film studies and literary criticism at the Jagiellonian University. Former film editor at Onet.pl and editor-in-chief of Stopklatka.pl. Artistic Director of the Script Fiesta festival and the Summer Film Academy in Zwierzyniec, also associated with the Tofifest International Film Festival in Toruń. Throughout his fifteen-year career, he has interviewed some of the most renowned figures in cinema, including Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Penélope Cruz, Mel Gibson, and Winona Ryder. He is a two-time recipient of the scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2022, he was awarded a Sundance Institute Fellowship for journalists covering minority issues. Winner of the Polish Film Institute Award for Best Film Critic. He is responsible for organizing international screenings of the film People (dir. Maciej Ślesicki and Filip Hillesland) in over thirty countries around the world.

Dr Mikołaj Jaroszewicz

He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the PWSTViT in Łódź in 1991. In the first period of his work in film, he was a camera operator on many Polish feature films such as "Young Wolves" or "Qua Vadis", simultaneously working as a screenwriter in serials and his own projects. As a freelance cinematographer, he started with puppet films, one of which "Peter and the Wolf" was nominated for the British BAFTA, in 2006, won the Cristal Du Court Metrages in Anessa and in 2007 the Oscar - the American Film Academy Award. After this success, Mikołaj Jaroszewicz started working in Great Britain, participating in many fictional projects as a cinematographer as well as a director and screenwriter. In 2012. he directed a full-length film based on Tony Hawks' novel Playing the Moldovans at Tennis which was an international production filmed in England, Ireland, Moldova and Israel. In 2013, the option for his script for a full-length feature film "Winter" was bought by the American Oscar producer Michael Phillips, known from the films "Sting", "Taxi Driver" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

ANDRZEJ WOLF

He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. He has collaborated with many renowned directors, including: Jan Kidawa-Błoński, Janusz Zaorski and Andrzej Wajda. He is a lecturer at the Warsaw Film School. In 2003, he was honored with the Special Award of the Polish Independent Cinema for all his activities for young cinema in Poland. Member of the OFF Film Academy.

FILIP PASTERNAK

He started his career as a computer scientist, but soon changed his interests to cinematography. He got into the Warsaw Film School - where he is a lecturer now. He was a cinematographer for such productions as the international hit "Control” (the TV mini series with over 60 million views) and short feature film "Random". He has been the DOP of many music videos, many shorts and commercials. He likes vivid and intense colors. As a DOP he focuses on a large creation of the film world. He is interested in presenting emotions in an original way, maintaining their subtlety and truth.

MATEUSZ PASTEWKA

Director of photography. His job at lighting department at first episode of Game of Thrones became his inspiration to start a professional career at cinematography. When in 2014 he graduated from Warsaw Film School he was already nominated and awarded for several of his short drama and short documentary films. He worked frequent as a second unit DP and CO at feature drama and TV series. While working on film he puts a lot of attention in preproduction process which helps him to make the most from even tight budget and achieve previously created vision.

TADEUSZ ŁYSIAK

Member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Warsaw and Directing at the Warsaw Film School. Creator of two award-winning short films in Poland and abroad: "Techno" (starring Leszek Abrahamowicz, Danuta Stenka, Michalina Olszańska) and Oscar-nominated "The Dress" (Anna Dzieduszycka, Dorota Pomykała, Szymon Piotr Warszawski). Participant of the prestigious program FUTURE FRAMES – Generation NEXT of European Cinema within Eastern Promises at the Karlovy Vary Festival. Winner of the "Discovering Eye" award for young talented filmmaker at the Polish Film Festival in Chicago.

PhD Katarzyna Taras

A film historian and critic. Habilitated Doctor of Humanities. Graduate of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Associate Professor at the Leon Schiller National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. Her research focuses on contemporary Polish cinema and the theoretical aspects of cinematography. Passionately devoted to the cinema of Wojciech Jerzy Has. She publishes in KINO, Nowa Polska, and Film PRO. She is the author of several books: "Witkacy and Film" (2005), "Egoist or “Edi”? Characters in Contemporary Polish Cinema – A Reconnaissance" (2007), "The Frustrated: Film and Literary Characters Confronting Polish Reality After 1989" (2012), "Make the Eye: A Story of Krzysztof Ptak" (2023), and "Without Gaffer Tape There Is No Film: A Spoken Handbook of Cinematography" (2025), co-authored with Ryszard Lenczewski.

DR Dominika Montean-Pańków

A director and screenwriter. A graduate of English Philology at the Jagiellonian University and of Directing at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice. She holds a PhD in Film and Theatre Arts from the Leon Schiller National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. A two-time finalist of the SCRIPT PRO Screenwriting Competition for the feature films “The Crossroads” (Award 2022) and “Bliżyn” (Finalist 2024). She is the recipient of the Female Voice Award, granted by Mastercard Off Camera to exceptionally talented women actively working in the Polish film industry, for her feature-length fiction debut “The Crossroads”. She is a board member of the Documentary Directors Section of the Polish Filmmakers Association.

dr Małgorzata Lipmann

An actress associated, among others, with Teatr Capitol and the Polish Theatre in Warsaw. A graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. She has appeared in numerous theatre, film, and television productions. She lectures at the Acting Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art, where she earned a Doctor of Arts degree under the supervision of Professor Jarosław Gajewski. She works primarily with the Lee Strasberg Method, which she studied in New York with students of Lee Strasberg himself. She regularly trains with Robert Castle, whose workshops she has co-organized since 2011 and whose technique she teaches with his consent. She is the creator of the original project “My Role in a World of Uncertainty. An Authorial Development Project and Podcast on Creativity, Agency, and the Courage to Be an Artist Today”, developed as part of a scholarship from the National Recovery Plan (NextGenerationEU).

Dr Anna Wolska

An animator and enthusiast of culture and art history, curator of numerous Polish and international exhibitions produced for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. By passion, a photographer and painter. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She earned her PhD at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce in the discipline of “fine arts”. For nearly twenty years, she has been professionally involved in cultural promotion. Since 2006, she has been affiliated with the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF), where she works as a lecturer and curator of the Warsaw photography gallery “Galeria Obok ZPAF”. In 2010, she received the Special Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “for outstanding contribution to the promotion of Polish photography”. She has curated over one hundred projects, including solo exhibitions, festivals, reviews, and competitions. She serves as an Ambassador of the international photography festival FotoArtFestival in Bielsko-Biała.

Dr Robert Wichrowski

A graduate of the Łódź Film School (PhD from the Directing Department) and of Andrzej Wajda’s Master School of Film Directing. He also studied history and completed postgraduate studies in political science. He has directed music videos for leading Polish music artists, commercials, and documentary films, including “Tears of the Masters”, awarded at a festival in Milan, and “In the Shadow of K2”, which received the Grand Prix at a festival in Teplice, Czech Republic. He is the director of television series such as “Ugly Betty (Polish adaptation)”, “Na Wspólnej”, “High Heels on Giewont”, “Commissioner Alex”, and “Sensations of the 20th Century”, as well as feature films: “French Number” (2006), “Carousel” (2014), “A Woman of Success” (2018), and “The Snow Queen’s Son” (2018), which was screened in the official selections of international festivals including New Horizons, the Montreal World Film Festival, and Tofifest. He is also the director of the documentary film about Daniel Olbrychski titled “Mr. Olbrychski”, presented at Millennium Docs Against Gravity.

Alek Pietrzak

A graduate of the Secondary Music School, Piano Class, and the Warsaw Film School, Faculty of Film Directing. His graduation film, “Strong Coffee Isn’t So Strong After All”, and the short film made at the Munk Studio, “Me and My Dad”, won over 20 awards, including the Audience Award at the Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis and in Huesca, Spain. At the age of 26, he made his feature debut with the dark comedy “Juliusz”, which was selected for the main competition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, making him the youngest director in the festival’s history. He made his television debut directing five episodes of the cult TVN series “39.5”, returning after a 10-year hiatus. He gained experience in directing on the sets of films such as “Citizen” by J. Stuhr, “Bridge of Spies” by S. Spielberg, “Planet Single” by M. Okorn, “True Crimes” by A. Avranas, and on TV series including “Belfer” and “Under the Surface”. In August 2021, his latest comedy-drama, “Black Sheep” (produced by TVN Discovery), premiered in cinemas. Currently, Alek teaches pre-production at the Warsaw Film School and hosts the radio program “The Sequel of Cinematography” on Radio Kampus. He also founded his own film festival, the BiG Festival, dedicated to comedic forms.

Daniel Sołtysiński

An actor and screenwriter. He graduated from the Acting Department of the Leon Schiller National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. He combines acting with screenwriting. In film and television, he has appeared in, among others, “Squadron 303. The True Story”, “Varia”, “BODO”, “The Crystal Girl”, and “Commissioner Alex”. As a screenwriter and concept creator, he co-developed the series “The Office of Haunted Objects”, which received a special award at the Script Fiesta festival and the Crew United Award in 2023 (together with Aleksandra Zielińska).

DAMIAN KOCUR

Director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, recognized as one of the most compelling voices of contemporary young cinema. A graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Łódź Film School. His feature debut, "Bread and Salt", won the Special Jury Prize in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival and earned him the title of Discovery of the Year at the Polish Film Awards “Orły.” Kocur is also the creator of acclaimed short films (e.g., "Jak ce buło", "1410") and his second feature film, "Under the Volcano".

HIERONIM JANUSZYK

An animated film director, colorist, and VFX Compositing Artist. A graduate of the Animation Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He has been working in the film industry since 2014, initially as a camera operator and editor. He participated in the post-production of numerous feature and documentary films, including “The Three Falls of the Saint” (special screening at Cannes) and “Touch of an Angel” (winner of 40 festival awards). His animated directorial debut, “Flying with the Raven”, awarded by the South Film & Arts Academy, was presented at 14 international film festivals, including in Paris, Chile, and the ANIMATOR Festival. His second film received a recommendation from Tomasz Bagiński and funding from the Polish Film Institute (PISF). He has also worked on numerous commercial projects for clients such as PKO Bank Polski, the National Centre for Culture, and the Ministry of National Education. Additionally, he has designed posters for films and festivals.

JĘDRZEJ GORSKI

A graduate and lecturer at the Warsaw Film School, specializing in film directing. He graduated from the Directing Department with a major in Screenwriting at the PWSTiT in Łódź. He is a director of short films that have won awards at Polish and international festivals. His latest film, Przez ciebie, po tobie, which premiered at the Krakow Film Festival, received the main award, the Golden Cluster, at the 53rd Lubuskie Film Summer and the main award at the Sokołowsko Film Festival Hommage à Kieślowski. His TV series script Szmal won the grand prize at the ScriptFiesta 9 i pół competition. Jędrzej Gorski was also a finalist in the Script Pro audio competition for the series Myślami przy sobie. In 2022, he wrote the libretto for the folk musical Przesilenia, which won the Grand Prix. In 2023, he created the theatrical musical 44, about the Warsaw Uprising. In 2024, he completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in the Cultural Management program.

TOMASZ ŚLIWIŃSKI

Director and screenwriter. His short documentary film "Our Curse" (2013) has garnered numerous awards at film festivals worldwide, received a nomination for the International Documentary Association (IDA) Award, and was nominated for an Oscar in 2015. A graduate of film directing at the Warsaw Film School, he completed the Feature Program at the Wajda School. A recipient of the Scholarship Program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage "Young Poland" (2015) and the Warsaw City Scholarship (2019). A member of the Guild of Polish Documentary Directors. Vice President of the Polish CCHS Foundation "Lift the Curse," honored with the EURORDIS Black Pearl Award in 2020. Curator of the musical project "Ondinata. Songs for Ondine."

AGATHA DOMINIK

A screenwriter, producer, and film lecturer. A graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. She began her Hollywood career as a literary agent, then worked as a Story Editor and Creative Executive at TriStar/Columbia, and later served as Vice President of Production for Dennis Quaid, producing the film “Hideaway”. She has written over 60 screenplays for Warner Bros., DreamWorks, Paramount, Universal, Fox 2000, Miramax, and independent producers. She is the creator of the limited series “Human Trafficking”, which was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. She has collaborated with Agnieszka Holland, Roland Joffé, and Christian Duguay. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA), the Writers Guild of Canada (WGC), and the Italian authors’ association, and has lectured at EICAR and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA).

Jacek J. Januszyk

A graduate of the Film School in Łódź. Cinematographer, screenwriter, director and producer. He made his cinematography debut for the feature film "Double Portrait" (nomination for the Golden Lions of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and an award in the "New Forms of Expression" category). He collaborated with prominent and recognized creators of Polish cinema, incl. A. Wajda, J.J. Kolski, J. Bogajewicz, W. Smarzowski, M. Ślesicki, L. Wosiewicz, J. Zaorski, K. Lupa, J. Dylewska, P. Edelman, K. Ptak, A. Sikora, M. Pawłowski, K. Visconti. His film and television achievements include projects combining a high artistic and commercial level, such as "In the desert and in the forest", dir. G. Hood (Oscar winner). He is also the cinematographer for many documentary films, incl. "Touching an Angel" honored with the Gold Remi award at the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival. The cinematography for this film was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Film Festival in Rijeka. In turn, the film "The Runner", winner of the bronze medal at The New York Festival, brought the cinematographer a special award at the festival in Zielona Góra. He was nominated for the Deutscher Kamerapreis for his cinematography in the controversial film "Forbidden Love". He is currently working as a director and co-producer on his original film "Three Falls of a Saint" - screening at the Cannes festival as part of the "Works in progress" section and at the international festival New Horizons. His next projects are "Art Above Life" and "Etude for violin and cello". At the development stage, he implements his own fictional projects - "The Healer" and "Three Days with the Murderer".

Jarek Kupść

A director and screenwriter, creator of, among others, the film “Slumberland” (2006), which received the Special Jury Award in the Independent Cinema Competition at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. He received his film writing and directing diploma from San Francisco State University. He created five feature-length narrative films, many of which have received multiple awards at international film festivals. He wrote a film textbook, "The History of Cinema For Beginners," published in the US, India, and the Czech Republic. In addition to screenwriting and directing, Jarek is also an editor and cinematographer. For many years, he worked as a storyboard artist in New York and Los Angeles. Parallel to his film work, Jarek is a professional painter, graphic artist, and photographer.

KAMILA DULSKA-MAKSARA

Lawyer, supporting the promotion of knowledge and building legal awareness among game developers at industry conferences and training. Co-founder and vice-president of the Gamedev Lawyers Association. Lecturer at the Warsaw Film School on copyright in games. Providing legal and business advisory services to various entities in the gamedev industry for novice developers, indies, small and medium development studios, and publishers. Specializes in copyright and commercial law, with particular emphasis on corporate governance and investor relations.

Magdalena Łazarkiewicz

A screenwriter and film and theatre director. A graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Wrocław and of Directing at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice. While still a student, she took part in the production of the film “The Maids of Wilko” as an assistant to Andrzej Wajda. “By Touch” was her feature film debut in 1985, created under the supervision of Krzysztof Kieślowski. She is the author of films such as “The Last Bell”, “Dance Marathon”, and “Departure”, which received the Special Jury Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. She is the originator, screenwriter, and creative producer of the television series “Deep Water”, which was awarded at the Prix Italia competition and the Prix Europa in Berlin. She is also the director of documentary films such as “The Gravel Pit” and “Absence”. Since 2011, she has served as the Artistic Director of the International Film Festival “Jewish Motifs” in Warsaw. Her most recent feature film, “Return”, was released in 2019.

Marek Brodzki

Director and creative producer of multiple productions, e.g. feature film and the series "The Witcher", series "Miasteczko" (TVN) and "Szpilki na Giewoncie" (Polsat). 2nd director collaborating with Steven Spielberg, Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański and Volker Schloendorff. He also worked with the German TV ZDF as the director of ZDF documentaries. The film "Drama Dresden" with his participation as 2 AD received an International Emmy Award in 2005.

Piotr Gorszczyński

Editor, cameraman, graduate and currently lecturer at Warsaw Film School. He worked on the movie "Manhunt" (polish title: “Obława”) directed by Marcin Krzyolucowicz, the tv series "Firemen" (polish title: "Strażacy") and "Szpilki na Giewoncie". He conducts classes for high school students as part of the National Film Archive (Filmoteka Szkolna), during which young filmmakers have opportunity to learn the basics of film language and test their skills in practice.
