„Can Film Schools Keep Up with the Industry?” - Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

// 2025-11-24

The Warsaw Film School was the only film school from Poland invited to take part in the high-profile European debate “Can Film Schools Keep Up with the Industry?” at the prestigious Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. It’s a major recognition - and a clear sign that WFS is seen internationally as a modern, agile institution that responds quickly to the evolving needs of the film industry.

While many European schools struggle with bureaucracy and slow programme reforms, WFS is highlighted as a model of flexibility, innovation and direct dialogue with the audiovisual sector. This is precisely why we were invited alongside institutions such as FAMU (Czech Republic) and Aalto University (Finland) not as observers, but as an equal and respected partner in shaping the future of film education.

We thank the organisers for the invitation and for recognising the importance of the WFS voice on the international stage.

We return to Warsaw inspired, energised and convinced that our educational model is aligned with where global film training is heading.
