Screening of the film “One sky above us” at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York
In New York, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, a special artistic evening dedicated to the life and work of Fryderyk Chopin - “Chopin Night” took place.
The audience had the opportunity to watch the film “One sky above us” (directed by Kaja Sajdak, screenplay by Anna Maksymenko, cinematography by Igor Kuna), produced by the Warsaw Film School on behalf of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency - PAIH.
Created for the EXPO 2025 in Osaka, the film presents Poland through the lens of the last 30 years of change, interwoven with references to Chopin’s work. At its heart is the story of a Polish man and a Japanese woman, whose hearts are connected by Chopin’s music, building a bridge between cultures.
The screening in New York was a wonderful opportunity to promote Polish cinematic art internationally. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Consulate General of Poland in New York and New York Artists and Filmmakers organisation for making it possible to showcase our film in the heart of the United States!
