Piotr Sobociński Jr. at the Elektronik Cinema!
At our school, cinema is more than just what happens on screen - it’s a live conversation. We meet some of the most important figures in Polish cinema and ask them questions straight from the movie theatre audience.
During the author-led lecture by dr hab. Katarzyna Taras, “On the art of cinematography at WFS”, we spoke with Piotr Sobociński Jr. about his work on “The Altar Boys”, adapting cinematic language to child protagonists, where he finds inspiration, how to discover your own voice in a family of cinematographers (and actors!), and whether work-life balance in this profession is achievable at all.
Our thanks go to Piotr Sobociński Jr. for an open and inspiring conversation, to dr hab. Katarzyna Taras for leading the lecture, and to our students and guests - for their attentiveness and excellent questions.
This is not the end of the series - stay tuned for more upcoming meetings!
